Honestly speaking, Nursing course was not included in the list of my "to pursue course". Until one day, my Uncle ask me what course will i pursue. As i mentioned HOTEL AND RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT, he immediately reprimanded and discriminated my choice. I was totally shocked. He told me me that I should pursue nursing if i want a better "aCe". So from that words, I was challenged. With No doubts i took Nursing.
In this course, students are provided with an introduction to nursing practice. They have opportunities to learn basic nursing skills with a focus on assessment skills and experience nurses' work in a variety of settings. In addition, participants are introduced to the concept of family in relationship to nursing and health promotion.
For me, the major emphasis of this course is the personal meaning of health, related health assessment, health maintenance, and prevention. Students examine significant theoretical and conceptual frameworks of health in relation to self. By reflecting on personal experiences, participants have opportunities to identify personal resources and challenges that impact health and to recognize the complexity of the change process as related to health-promoting behaviour.
I do choose Nursing because of practical reasons, one of it is for the betterment of my family and my self, since i found nursing as very tough one and very much nerve breaking. For now i still continue to perseverse this course as i enter my forecoming 3rd year.
